I lost 30lbs, y'all.

THIRTY POUNDS!!! in 3.5 months.

Here's how I did it:

Back in March, I was doing Alana’s hair and lamented to her about how much I needed to lose weight. I had reached 200 lbs and had been hovering around that number for a while.

She told me that a friend of hers worked with this nutritionist and lost like 85 lbs over the course of a year. I said I'd give her a try.

A couple weeks later, I finally called Kelly Henry of Resolute Weight Loss and had a consultation. We then set up a call for the next week for her to do a thorough intake and assess my weight loss goals, lifestyle, eating habits, cooking habits, and what foods I already eat.

I told her I wanted to lose 30 pounds by September so she put me on a 2 pound per week plan starting on April 1. The meal plans she created are for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, and the recipes all incorporate the foods I would already eat. She outlines the portion sizes for each meal, provides a grocery list for said meals, and provides daily coaching.

What I've loved about working with Kelly is that I never felt like I had to deprive myself of the foods I want to eat. Most importantly, I didn’t get hungry by following the plan. She encourages me when I progress, and encourages me when I slip, and she's held me accountable to the goals I've set for myself.

I'm gonna continue to work with her for a few more weeks to transition from weight loss mode to weight maintenance mode.

I can't thank her enough for standing for me during this process.
